12 Things Only Hair Dye Addicts Will Understand

Dye-ing your hair is a never ending cylce: you want it an interesting colour, but then your roots start to grow in, so you dye it another colour but then the first colour starts to show through. Honestly, give a girl a break!

1. You laugh (or cry) at the prices listed at your local hair salon for full-color dye jobs.

2. It’s never the same color for longer than 24 hours.

3. All your towels HAVE to be dark-colored.

4. You become an expert at cleaning stains.

5. Hairdressers themselves are either your best friends or your nemeses.

6. And if you have colourful hair, then people make personal remarks about your employability.

7. You have tried every conditioner in existence.

8. The struggle of finding that perfect shade .

9. But most likely just settling with what your local boots has to offer, especially when it's the week before pay day but your roots are coming in badly.

10. Getting dye all over your skin.

11. Destroying the bathroom with dye

12. But most importantly....
You gotta make sure the brows match.

'I will never be the woman with the perfect hair, who can wear white and not spill on it.'

Sex and the City has always  been one of my favourites.... from their timeless friendship and classy cosmopolitans to their life and relationship advice, it's a TV show I turn to whenever I need a little 'pick me up.'

I've yet to find a quote from the show that isn't relevant. Whether it be a romantic one from Charlotte, a witty one from Miranda, a sex-related one from Samantha or just a general life from from and the city has got it all!

Here's some of my faves:

'Sexy is what I try to get them to see me as after I win them over with my personality.' Miranda

'Abso-fucking-lutely.' Mr Big

'The fact is, sometimes it's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes. That's why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun'. Carrie

'I like my money where I can see it - hanging in my closet.' Carrie

'Maybe we can be each other’s soul mates. And then we can let men be just these great, nice guys to have fun with.' Charlotte

'Somewhere out there is another little freak who will love us and understand us and kiss our three heads and make it all better'. Carrie

'I’m looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can’t-live-without-each-other love.' Carrie

'They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.' Carrie

'When men attempt bold gestures, generally it's considered romantic. When women do it, it's often considered desperate or psycho.' Carrie

'The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.' Carrie

“The most important thing in life is your family. There are days you love them, and others you don’t. But, in the end, they’re the people you always come home to. Sometimes it’s the family you’re born into and sometimes it’s the one you make for yourself.” Carrie

14 Things You Didn't Realise You'd Still Be Doing As An 'Adult'

And I use the term adult loosely.... 'Cos let's face it, we'd all be Peter Pan if we could, never growing up....

1. You sometimes feel the need to ask your parents' permission on things.

2. For some stupid reason, you still care what people think.

3. You still cry. Like a lot.

4. You still only want to eat ice cream for dinner.

5. And if you're (un)lucky enough to have any, you still fight with your siblings.

6. The feeling of being self conscious about your body clearly never goes away.

7. CHORES. Never ending chores.

8. Thinking you can budget, but like you wild teenage ways, you'd still rather spend your money on a Dominoes and bottle of wine.

9. But also still getting ID'd for that bottle of wine.

11. You still stalk your fave celebrities. And still wish you had their life.

12. And that's partly because, even though you're an 'adult' now, you still have absolutely no idea what you want to do in life.

13. Making and keeping friends doesn't get any easier.

14. Cooking oven pizza or microwavable meals for the rest of your life...'cos you still can't cook. Oops.

Fashion Wishlist 16.09.15

My favourite season has returned: Autumn! I love all the colours and styles in the shops just now, I feel like Autumn season will be a good one high-street wise.

I haven't posted a fashion wishlist in what seems like ages, but I feel like this week is a good time to do one. I'm trying to pick up bits & pieces for going back to uni; things which are versatile, comfy but still fashionable! I love a good bargain, so I often keep things in my saved items (esp on Asos) and wait until they go on sale.

Here are my latest wishlist items:

Edinburgh Stay!

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the short post, but it's my first day back at uni & who knew 3rd year could be so demanding straight away?! On the bright side though, my modules seem much more interesting this semester!

Anywaysssss.... Back to the original point of the post: Edinburgh!
As I spoke about in a previous post, my boyfriend & I were going away to celebrate our anniversary of being together for 5 years. We chose the Doubletree Hilton in Edinburgh City Centre as it had a great location & meant we could explore one of our favourites cities a bit more.

Not only was the location great, but the staff were so lovely & accomodating! They gave us a room upgrade to a room with a straight on view of Edinburgh Castle, cookies & brownies in our room aaaand some free drinks vouchers.

So yeah, I would 100% recommend any (but esp the Edinburgh one!) Hilton hotel to stay in!

Some pics from my amazing weekend:

15 Ultimate TV Friendship Goals

1. Leslie and Ann, Parks & Recreation

Leslie & Ann's relationship is all about building each other up, the compliments they give one another are strange yet, amazing.

2. The whole gang, Friends

'Cos I mean, who else would put a turkey on their head for you?!

3. Hanna, Spencer, Aria & Emily, Pretty Little Liars

Through anything, these girls know that you gotta have each other's back. Yup, especially when it comes to a murderous texter.

4. Serena & Blair, Gossip Girl

When you take away all their bitchy comments, Blair and Serena are always there for each other. Plus their fashion is so on point.

5. Meredith & Cristina, Grey’s Anatomy

No matter what's happening in their lives, they always make time for each other.

6. J.D. & Turk, Scrubs

The most hilarious of all the friendships.

7. Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte, Sex and the City

Aside from the fact these ladies know how to make an amazing Cosmopolitan, they give the world's best advice too.

8. Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, and Sophia, The Golden Girls

A classic and timeless friendship!

9. Taystee and Poussey, Orange Is the New Black

The most unlikeliest of friendships are sometimes the best! When Poussey was going through a hard time in S3, Taystee was the one who was always there to help. Plus, they have so much fun together- or as much fun as you can have in prison.

10. Harvey and Mike, Suits

Harvey was not only Mike's mentor in the beginning, but also made sure he was doing his absolute best in everything. Plus, they're both nice to look at ;)

11. Haley and Lucas, One Tree Hill

From all the dramas of high school to their adult life, Hayley and Lucas remained closer than ever.

12. Liz and Jack, 30 Rock

Although they hardly ever see eye to eye on things, there is something about their friendship that is admirable.

13. Sabrina and Salem, Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Although they're of different species, Sabrina and her cat cause more mischief than anyone. From family advice and magic spells, Salem is always there to offer a sarcastic comment.

14. Rory and Lorelai, Gilmore Girls

The best mother & daughter relationship anyone could ask for.

15. Karen and Jack, Will & Grace

Everything you've ever needed all rolled into one *crazy* friendship.

The Liebster Awards!

Okay, so I'll admit I've been a little bit busy these past two weeks with catching up with friends for birthdays and having *probs* one too many cocktails...but I'm back now!

Today's post is a little bit different because I was nominated by the fabulous Michelle from Simply Michelle for the Liebster Awards! I'm honestly so thankful to have been nominated for this as I'm pretty new to the whole 'blogging' world and it is a great opportunity to just get out there and meet some other aspiring bloggers, like myself!

Here are the rules of the Liebster Awards:

1. Once nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.

2. Include the Liebster Award stick in the post too.

3. Nominate 10 other new bloggers that have 200 or less followers who you think are worthy of the award. Let them know they have been nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can nominate the person that nominated you.

4. Answer the 10 questions asked to you by the person who nominated you and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.

5. Lastly copy these rules in the post.

So let's start!

1. How did you decide on your blog name?
Honestly, I don't know how I came up with it, I think I just thought of random things in my head and when it came to me I thought it was right. It completely describes what I am on a day-to-day basis.

2. What is your favourite type of blog to read?
My favourites are probably fashion & lifestyle blogs.

3. If you could only buy one item of makeup for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh, that's a hard one! Probably concealer, play it safe.

4. Do you prefer watching TV, watching films or reading?
Can I say all of them? It depends what mood I'm in haha! Probs watching films though.

5. If you could do a collaboration with any blogger, who would you pick and why?
Hannah Gale without a doubt, she's my favourite. She's so honest, funny and relevant to everything.

6. Have you set any goals for your blog? If so what are they?
Probably, just now, to actually keep writing. Once I go back to uni and have the pressure of work too, I know I'm going to find it difficult to make time for it. So yeah, just to keep doing what I'm doing in the hope that one day more people will read (& like) my blog.

7. Would you consider making a youtube channel to go with your blog?
Hmm, this one I'm not sure about. I think I need to find a specific angle that I want my blog to take before I do any Youtube vidoes.

8. What is your favourite social media to use? (Facebook, Instagram, twitter..)
Instagram. I love seeing everyone's pictures & what they're wearing.

9. What is your dream job?
Something to do with writing- whether it be blogging, magazine journalism- I'm not sure yet.

10. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you pick and why?
Probably predictable, but pizza- I mean, there are just so many varieties of it!

Here are my questions for the people that I have nominated:

1. How would you describe your blog?

2. Where in the world would you most like to travel?

3. What was the last outfit you wore?

4. Who did you last talk to?

5. Who did you email last?

6. What was the last thing you watched on TV?

7. What is your one beauty product that you cannot live without?

8. What is/was your favourite subject in school?

9. Who is your favourite blogger?

10. What is your life motto?

Also, I've decided not to nominate anyone in particular- and rather whoever reads this post nominates themselves! I don't want to narrow it down to 10 people, so I nominate anyone else who wishes to do it, in order to gain some more readership!

10 Things We All Miss About MySpace

Ahhh, let's reminisce about the good ol' days...

1. That AMAZING feeling you got when your friend put you in her top 8 friends. Yup, BEST FEELING EVER.

2. All the incredible word art GIFS, just cos they totally showed how you were feeling at the time.

3. And obviously, constructing the perfect playlist that instantly told anyone visiting your profile you were deep and really cool. 'Cos no-one can really know you listen to Sugababes in your free time.

4. The pulsing orange online now man. He was much more friendly than Smarterchild from MSN days.

5. Tom's smile when you logged in. 'Nuff said.

6. Making sure your 'About Me' bio really reflected the type of person you are.

7. Thanking people for the 'add'. "Thnx 4 the add bbz."

8. Aspiring to have the best and newest wallpaper. Cos it had to be better than all of your friends, obvz.

9. Choosing a 'mood' to let everyone online know how you were feeling. Facebook's tried to replicate this, but it'll never be the same.

10. Seeing when someone last logged in. Myspace putting minds at ease since '03.
