So, um I don't know about you, but I pretty much own every stripey top from H&M and New Look

There is just something so effortless and chic (or maybe it's my need to go to Paris and float about it stripey tops and midi skirts whilst eating all the macarons that's trying to come out) about throwing on one of these with some boyfriend jeans and a slick of red lipstick. It just makes you feel like you've got your whole life together, when really your legs probably need shaved and you've used dry shampoo for the third time this week.

The weather right now is just a big ole' mix of everything. One day we've got sunshine, the next rain...and dare I even say it some...snow?! 

But for when the nicer weather eventually decides to stay, y'know the type that just makes you want to find some beer garden with your mates and drink all the fruity cider? Or the ones where you've suddenly become one with nature and decide to go for a wander round the closest national park you can find. Don't lie, we all love a good picnic in the sunshine.

Well, for those days (or even if it is raining, just whack a pair of tights and ankle boots on with it!) here are some outfits that will make you look on point.

Cold Shoulder and Stripe Top 

Surprise, surprise: of course, a stripe t-shirt just somehow makes its way onto this list...

This one is a 'lil bit different though. It has a bardot neckline and pulls you in all the right places. The texture is just like any other t-shirt but the fit, especially for short girls as I feel like it won't lose its elasticity, is perfect. Style it with a red lip, simple jewellery and black skinnies!

Cold shoulder tops are all the rage right now. From dresses to playsuits, this trend is everywhere.

The print of this top is very bohemian, and the style floats over to hide any 7pm Domino orders. Style it with some gold jewellery, curl your hair and you're 100% Sienna Miller.

The Midi Dress of Dreams

The print of this dress is amaaaaazing. You can just imagine Blake Lively floating along in it while she goes to lunch or something.

The shirt style of the dress nips you in at the waist as it has a drawstring which pulls it together. Midi dresses create a great shape, and make you feel all fancy without too much effort. 

It is perfect for those days where its warm outside, but you just can't be bothered to fake tan and get your full legs out. Team it with simplistic tan accessories, and this is a dream outfit for a day with the girls in the city.

'Going Out' Look

I'm looooving the bardot style tops just now & with the lace effort at the top of this one, it ticks every box. It has chiffon material, and the floaty style is perfect for those really warm clubs where you're defos sweating your face off. You could also team it with black skinnies and some lace up flats for during the day.

This 'lil red beauty's texture is suede- my absolute favourite. This expensive feeling texture and the wrap detail just finishes off the look. It hides any bits that you may feel self-conscious about, but still makes you feel as sassy as Beyonce in Lemonade.

Styled with lots of gold chunky jewellery and a pair of high shoe boots with a buckle detail, this look is 100% for a night out drinking some cocktails.

The Girly Wrap Dress

Probably the most flattering cut of dresses ever, this little number is perfect for any occasion that you might have coming up. Wrap dresses suit about pretty much any body type, and are so easy to style.

I've teamed this pink dress with some nude accessories to make sure that the dress is the main focus. It wraps over (with a button detail inside and the wrap tie on the outside) and has some dainty frills at the top.

Just imagine date night or a summer garden party in this dress...

Lace up detail is covered in every shop just now, but it isn't just limited to shoes. This black playsuit is perfect for adding a little bit of detail to your outfit without going too out there.

From a dinner date to some drinks with the girls, playsuits are so easy to style up or down. Paired with some tights during the day, then with some heels at night- the list is endless. Here, it is teamed with a fringed 70s style bag and a block heel.

Think Kylie Jenner when it comes to the lace-up detail. All you need now is the pout...

 Boho Everyday Dress

The perfect daytime look for when you have a full day ahead of you.

A boho style dress adds a bit of personality to your wardrobe, but still makes you look all stylish and together. The length of this one is perfect as it stops just above the knees (no need for pulling it down 24/7, thank god) and the sleeves are 3/4 length. It has a tie at the top of the dress which you can knot, or just leave the gold tassels hanging for a more relaxed look.

Something a bit different from your every day jeans and top, this dress is easily styled with some black & gold accessories.

The Trench Coat You Need Right Meow

A classic MAC-style trench coat should be a staple in anyone's wardrobe. It is super easy to style, and let's face it, will never go out of fashion. This type of coat is 100% a classic.

This one is a little bit different from your usual as it comes in a pale nude/pink-y colour, which is perfect for easily injecting some colour into your capsule style. I've teamed it with cream peep-toe sandals and some rose gold sunglass (because rose gold is bae <3).

First of all, bookmark this post for when you're having a really long day, or you've got to a point in the week where you just have to relax for a bit.

Maybe your card has just been declined; your period has unexpectedly arrived a day early while you were wearing your good pants; or you've just spotted how your make up really looks after an 8 hour shift.

Yep, save this ingredient list for 'those' types of days.

Once you've found the perfect temperature (not too hot, not too cold- Goldilocks' style)- grab  the fluffiest dressing gown known to man, and follow Pretty52's dream list to the perfect, relaxing bath....

Candles & Bubble Bath

Obviously, a bath can't exist without a MOUNTAIN of bubbles- it's the best part. Pour a generous amount into your bath and watch it fill up. Infant- just pour that whole bottle in, you deserve it gal!

Also: light all 'dem candles. Don't worry about wasting them or anything, because this is all about 'you' time just now. 

Get all the cute scented ones out (a personal favourite being 'Fluffy Towels' by Yankee Candle because it just smells so fresh!) and light them up and let them flicker away as you relax in your bubble bath.


A little bit of Ed Sheehan of James Bay on in the background will help rid yourself of any negativity and stress.

Music on in the background will help clear your mind and relax of any worries.

Maybe even through in a few Little Mix or Beyonce numbers, because girl power and all that jazz. This will make you feel suuuper motivated & empowered!

Grab a good book

Either take one off your shelf that you've been meaning to read for ages, or get stuck into the new 'Gone Girl' type thriller that everyone is talking about. Or maybe even a girlie read that you can just get lost in without thinking too much.

Whatever your preference is, a book is the perfect companion to any relaxing bath.

Stick your phone to one side for an hour or so ('cos for one thing, there is the complete fear that you might actually drop it in the water) and get stuck into a good story.

Bath Bomb

Because OBVIOUSLY, it makes your bath looks amazing.

Lush has tonnes to choose from; so pick your favourite colour and watch them fizz away in the water. It not only looks great, but helps revitalise your skin at the same time.

Think of the colours and the glitter and the fizz.... Just basically fill it with anything that shines with unicorns, rainbows and happiness.


Bubbles help evaporate all the bad things in life according to academic findings. (Well, not really but we wish we could get Prosecco on tap for our own homes because that is the ULTIMATE dream <3 )

Yes, it may not be as good for you as a green tea, but hey, one glass won't hurt. So to help you relax, pour a little glass of bubbles.

Face Mask

Shove your hair up in the highest bun imaginable so it is out your face, and put enough on your face that you look like Mrs Doubtfire in the scene when she sticks her head in cake. Lather it on, and let it soak into your skin.

Put on a 'lil face mask, sip on your glass of prosecco and pretend you're actually on a holiday with some sun, sea and sand!

Wash & Relax

It is rare that a good bath doesn't go hand-in-hand with Soap and Glory!

Although weather proves otherwise, spring time has arrived!

Ditch your roll necks and chunky scarves (actually, maybe don't put them to the back of your wardrobe just yet, incase those April showers return) and follow Pretty52's easy peasy steps to make the most of these upcoming months.

We're not going to suggest making insane changes like going on a carb free diet - because let's be honest, who can really give up bread or chips for more than three days? - or invest in a hefty gym membership. Instead, these simple life changes can be helpful for putting you in a better mood; feeling more awake; and in general become a more sparkly version of YOU!

Revitalise your skin

We're talking hair masks, face masks, skins masks (if that's even a thing) - but honestly just think of it as a body cleanse. Winter has gone, get rid of all that dead skin *eww*, shave your legs and put on lots of gorgeous smelling moisturiser to get ready for spring time.

Water is also super important for your skin and helping it feel refreshed. Something as simple as carrying a bottle of water with you every time you leave the house can help detox all those wintery blues away!

This will leave you feeling pampered, relaxed and ready for anything.

Have an email inbox cleanse

Include an 'inbox cleanse' into your spring detox.

It consists of unsubscribing from junk email and reminders that you no longer want; along with archiving important ones that include attachments you may need again.

This will make life x100 times easier as you won't feel as overwhelmed with your 25,346 (and counting!) unread emails.

Change up your make up

Your make up has a 'best before date' for a reason, and with all those germs harbouring in things such as our mascaras, now is the time for a clear out.

Go through your collection and throw out those foundations, lip glosses and eyeshadows you've had hiding for years. Doing this not only de-clutters your make up bag, but is also really good for your skin.

With throwing out your unwanted & out-of-date items.... you now you have room to treat yourself.

Take up a calming exercise like yoga or pilates

Okay, so one that's probably on every single detox list. But there is a reason for it: yoga, pilates and tai chai is so good for both your body and mind.

It allows you to focus on your breathing, clear any negative thoughts you have and leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Plus, you don't reallllyyy need to leave the house to do it- Youtube has loads of amazing tutorials that allow you to do it anywhere that you have a clear space.

Create your own 'happy place' at home to express yourself

Instead of yet another night in on the sofa watching Netflix (although there's nothing wrong with that, we've all got some Kimmy Schmidt to binge-watch!) allow the lighter and sunnier nights to motivate you.

Find a corner in your bedroom, de-clutter out all the rubbish & pretend you're some fancy Instagramer who gets paid for her work. Lay out all the things that make you happy- cute prints & quotes are our favourites!

It makes you feel x1000 times happier in the morning to get up and start your daily routine in your 'happy place'.

Clear out all those unwanted photos on your phone to create some more memory for new ones

How annoying is it when your phone tells you that you can't take anymore pictures because your memory is full, and then you have to go onto Snapchat to take and save it?! 

To start fresh and create new memories, go through your camera roll and narrow down what you want to keep. Delete those multiple selfies you took in order to get the best one, and those funny screenshots that you've already sent your friends about a million times.

Spring is all about fresh starts.

Create a list of things you really should do but keep putting off

You know all those things you think of when you're lying in bed at night? And you say to yourself 'that's the first thing I'm going to do in the morning', but never really get round to it?

Make a list of all those pesky little things because they add up over time. Before you know it, it's not just a doctors appointment you need to make, but also a dentist check up, and oh, there is your reminder in to get your eyes tested AND a letter in asking you to donate blood.

It'll help you clear your mind and feel much more in control.

Boost your energy

Step away from the energy drinks! With all the recent studies showing just how much sugar is in one can, it is time to shake things up a bit. There are so many easy recipes online that are really simple to do at home.

Create more time in your life for these people- the type of friends that are always there for you and cause little drama.

Create a playlist for those days you need to conquer the world

If you have Spotify create a brand-new playlist with some feel good songs, or if you don't take yourself to Youtube to find some songs which make you feel all happy inside.

Unfortunately, Adele does not come under this category (save her for when you've had a bad day and need a 'lil cry) but there are so many feel good songs out there.

If you listen to your ultimate playlist in the morning, it will make you feel like you can take on anything that day! 

Start a diary/journal and become more organised

If you're anything like us: constantly busy & on the go, you need something to keep your life in order.

Why not invest in a super cute journal or diary to note down upcoming important dates so you don't forget them? It's easy enough to put it into your phone, but there is just something about having a diary and writing it out. You'll feel like a proper business-woman and have your life in order.

Take yourself away from the busy city and experience the country side

Those lighter nights that we mentioned are well and truly here- make the most of it and get some sunshine (if it ever comes!) and fresh air.

This will help detox your mind & body from constantly having the heating on during those cold winter nights.

Start planning

Whether it be a day trip or a full blown holiday, it's always good to have something to look forward to. Go with your boy/girlfriend, best friend, your mum, or even yourself and plan your next journey.
