Long gone are the days of whispering about a boy you fancied and what push-up bra you should buy, and welcome the days of exchanging life advice and planning your whole lives over a bottle of wine.

Your 20s will show you just how important friendship is in life, and you'll come to realise who is there for you no matter what.

1. You'll learn that you don't actually have to be friends with everyone.
The people that were once part of your group that you didn't really like, will most likely drift out of your life and you'll be pleased.

2. You'll never actually be prepared for growing up.
In your heart you're all still teenagers getting drunk on Lambrini....where are all these engagement announcements and buying houses coming from?!

3. Real friends will be there for you no matter what.
You'll learn which friends to call in which scenarios. There will be ones you can call at 3am crying and needing advice, and ones you can call at 3am drunk and needing a dance partner.

4. But you will lose touch with some of them.
With some people, it will be expected but with others it will feel like a punch to the stomach. When it comes to friends who live far away, it will require more effort to keep in touch.

5. Facebook messenger is your main source of contact.
Group chats and funny giphs from your friends are the only way you can make it through the day.

6. Most of your chats will consist of 'OMG, remember when....?!'
Because you have so many amazing memories together, and private jokes that only you will understand.

7. You realise that some of your friendships are one-sided.
It's ok to realise that a friendship is coming to a dead end, it happens and that's life. If you find you're the only one making an effort, you realise who actually wants you in their life.

8. You'll argue but you'll get over it and move on.
You don't dwell on the past and know something isn't worth losing your friendship over. It's important that you challenge each other, and if you say something out of line chances are you were acting out of their best interest.

9. You'll find that your best friend becomes family.
The one that understands how dysfunctional your family is, and has been through everything with you. Even that time you tinted your eyebrows wayyyyy too dark for your face (and yup, won't let you forget it).

10. Bitchiness still happens.
Leaving high school you have a vision that everyone becomes nice and drama evaporates....but it's far from it. Some people will change as they get older and value your friendship less.

11. Guys can come and go, but friendship lasts a lifetime.
Being in love is incredible, but the older you get the more you appreciate spending time alone with your BFFs and how unfair it is to ditch them for a guy.

12. But make time for the people who matter.
With work, uni and a Netflix addiction, we all follow busy lives. You'll realise that life isn't as easy as it was in high school (with 6 weeks free during the summer holidays to see your friends), and that you have to consciously make the time to meet up.

13. You will realise that gathering all of your friends is the world's most difficult task.
Trying to pin everyone down to an exact date for an occasion isn't as easy as it used to be because of responsibilities. So rude.

14. You'll have a 'how would I ever survive in life without you' epiphany.
I mean you'd never been cheesy enough to say it out loud to them, but it's nice to know you've found someone who understands you.

15. No topic is off limits when it comes to advice.
Boy troubles, sex life, work name it. They've probably solved every one of them for you.

16. Your favourite thing to do with your friends is order a take away and watch reality tv.
Pizza, Keeping up the Kardashians and your best friend. Is there really anything better?!

17. You become quite protective over them.
'Excuse me, I've known them for nearly 20 years. They're MY BFF, not yours.'

18. Your friends right now will most likely be in your life forever.
They will not only offer comforting words and love, but will also be sitting next to you causing havoc in a nursing home in 60 years time.

"Just remember everything changes in a week..."

We can all struggle for motivation or find it hard to feel good about ourselves some weeks, but there are tiny changes we can try for a lil boost!

While things such as stopping at just two glasses of prosecco are unlikely, there are some simple things we can include in our lives to increase our happiness and overall wellbeing.

Learn to make every day that little bit more sunnier, learn to pick yourself up from a bad mood where you'd rather just curl up in a ball and go back to bed, and learn to overall feel happier and good about yourself.

Treat yourself with kindness

I don't know about you but I have the worst habit of looking at a picture and instantly looking to see how big my things or stomach looks in it, but not once have I thought 'I look great in that because I went to the gym twice this week and worked so hard on my uni assignment.' Stop valuing your worth on things that don't matter and only you see, remember how good a person you are and how hard you work.

Change your bedsheets

Let's be honest, there is no greater feeling in the world than climbing into a nice clean bed after a long day. When you first get up in the morning strip your bedsheets and put a wash on. Have your breakfast and once you're done, they'll be ready to hang out and dry. This gives you something to look forward to for when you come home. A nice cosy, clean bed!

Phone your mum / someone you admire for a good chat

If you're having a particularly hard week, phone your mum or someone you respect for advice. Have a long chat with them about how you're feeling, what you've been up to etc, but also how they are too. Sometimes we get so caught up with our daily routines, we tend to forget what is most important in life: those we love. You'll get good advice and feel much more motivated.

Stop comparing yourself to others

We're all guilty of this. We look at pictures of other people we know, celebrities who we want to be...most of which are completely different figure types to ourselves. They most likely follow differently lifestyles, or even have their own problems to battle. Stop comparing and start embracing how beautiful and unique to you, you are.

Meet up with a friend for coffee

Clear your schedule and make time to catch up with a good friend. You'll feel much more relaxed by spending your time doing something you actually want to do. Hear how they're doing and keep them up to date on your own life. Cake might even be involved.
Plus, coffee will help you rule the world like the sassy gal you are *fire emoji*

Clear out your wardrobe

Supposedly you're meant to do this like every three to six months, but the thought of parting with my beloved clothes that often scare me. I would suggest having maybe two every year because you never know what might come back into fashion again or just incase you can fit back into those jeans.
Pack up items you haven't worn in forever and either have a car boot sale or donate to your local charity shop. You'll feel refreshed, more organised....and now you have room for a cheeky ASOS haul ;)

Start saving (a little!)

We're not talking hundreds and hundreds of pounds...if you have that much disposable income in one week then you should be booking a holiday. Top tip: any money you have in your bank account that isn't a 'whole number', you should put into a savings account. For example, if you had £138.49 in your bank account on a Sunday, you should transfer over £3.49 into savings because it's money you can't withdraw. It adds up over time!

Sit down with a cup of tea, a notepad and write a 'to-do' list

Make a list of everything that you have 'to do' within the next few weeks to ensure that you're organised and up to date with appointments, meetings and payments. And if you're stressed out, write down things that are bothering you. Get them off your chest, be productive and you'll feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

Clean your make up brushes

Neglecting the cleanliness of our make up brushes is something most people are guilty of. Nearly 43% of make up brush users don't even clean them...ever. Ew! Nip this in the bud and, no matter how small, feel like you've accomplished something good for yourself this week.
Do this and you'll feel much more flawless!

Sleep for a solid eight hours

Sleep is the best thing for your body and mind, and if you only try one thing out this week, make sure it is this. Your busy lifestyle might not allow you to have a full eight hours every night, but make sure at least once a week, you aim for a good amount of hours of interrupted sleep. You'll feel much more refreshed and motivated.

Try out a new recipe (and make it fun!)

We all love a takeaway or a pizza, but this week instead try your hand at a bit of cooking. It doesn't have to be super difficult, but grab some ingredients for either something you've always wanted to try, or become a pro at making your favourite meal for those days where you just can't even with life.
Or why not try out our oreo recipe as a treat? (

Pour yourself the world's best bubble bath

Allow yourself time to relax and breath Grab the fluffiest dressing gown you own, light some candles and on music. You'll feel so cosy and relaxed and a little snug bug that it'll make you tackle the next day so, so much easier.

Have a good old fashioned sing-song

Nothing makes you feel better than belting out a song and dancing along to it! Turn the music up in the car or in the shower. Forget about all your responsibilities and just have fun.

Try out a new hair or make up look.

Just something simple to spice things up a bit! If you usually wear your hair straight, then curl it for a change; if your go-to make up look is a smokey eye, try a bold lip instead. Try something new that pushes you out of your comfort zone and encourages you to try to be different.

Give yourself a relaxing facial

Along with your relaxing bath, remember it is important to care for your skin. Stop picking your spots and covering up blemishes, and instead take the time to clean out the impurities on your face. Start with a good scrub and allow it to work its magic to making you feel all sparkly (on the inside and out!)
Why not follow our skincare guide? (

Shave yo' legs

Honestly, this one sounds so simple but it's so true that it makes you feel better about yourself. Clean, smooth and silky legs are a great way to make you feel good and that you have your life together.
Pair them with matching underwear, and you might aswell just apply to be the new Prime Minister.

Get up ten minutes earlier

Ok, so I know we mentioned that sleep is essential...but instead of sleeping in for an extra five minutes (which usually turn into fifteen), drag yourself out of bed ten minutes earlier than you normally would. Give yourself time to set up your day and to make sure you're not running around doing last minute things in the morning. Feel organised and be on top of things.

Paint your nails/ have a pamper evening

My friends and I have always said that if a guy ever proposes to us we want our nails to be painted. I don't know why, but there is something about having neat, manicured nails that make you feel much more sophisticated. Try having an evening dedicated to pampering yourself.

Or if you're still struggling for motivation, just remember that during the making of 'Wannabe' the Spice Girls ditched their manager and worked from a car before hitting it big. Yup, it all starts somewhere!

Whether it's Disney movies, Disney princesses or Disney theme parks, there's no doubt about it, everything is magical.

Disney is for everyone, and no matter what age we can all find a bit of comfort in it.

But think you're a Disney expert? I bet there are a few secrets you didn't know about...

1. There are thousands of Mickey Mouse heads hidden in every park.
From being located on bins to food shaped just like him, you're guaranteed to find one somewhere along your travels!

2. There is an entire network of underground tunnels beneath the theme parks.
This helps the characters get from one place to another in quick time, and prevent guests from seeing two of the same character.

3. All of the costumes you see are hand made.
Hand stitching to the princess dresses create authenticity and bring an extra sparkle!

4. Fourteen of the original attractions in Disney World are still in use today.
These include: It's a Small World, Dumbo, Frontierland Shootin' Arcade, The Hall of Presidents, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan's Flight, Regal Carrousel, Swiss Family Treehouse, Jungle Cruise, Country Bear Jamboree, Disney Railroad, The Haunted Mansion, Enchanted Tiki Room and Tomorrowland Speedway.

5. None of the Disney theme park stores sell gum.
This helps keep the park clean and free of gum stuck to rides.

6.  The voice of Eeyore is also the voice of Optimus Prime from Transformers.
Who knew?!

7. Beauty and the Beast was the first animated film to ever be nominated in the Best Picture category.
The category Best Animated Feature was created years later, in 2001.

8. Disney are huge fans of planting 'easter eggs' throughout different movies:

During the song "Out There" in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Belle, Aladdin's magic carpet, and Pumbaa make appearances.

Tangled's Rapunzel and Flynn Rider attend Elsa's coronation in Frozen.

Scar is turned into a rug in Hercules.

And Mrs. Potts makes an appearance in Tarzan.

9. Lots of early Disney films are a mother-free zone.
The Jungle Book, Pinocchio and Bambi. It's been suggested that this was because of their creator's guilt over the death of his own mother in 1938. Fresh from the success of Snow White, he had bought a home for his parents, but tragically a faulty heating system led to Flora Disney's death from carbon monoxide poisoning.

10. Cinderella was Walt Disney's favorite princess.
Ilene Woods, who voiced the character of Cinderella, remembered Walt Disney saying to her, "You're my favourite heroine, you know." She said, "You mean Cinderella?" "Yes," he said, "there's something about that story I associate with."

11. BeyoncĂ© almost voiced Princess Tiana (Princess and the Frog)
She didn't think she should have to audition, however, so her Dreamgirls castmate Anika Noni Rose got the gig instead.

12. Merida is the only Disney princess who doesn't have an American accent.
Which is interesting considering the princesses are thought to be from all over the world.

13. Elsa's ice palace changes color to reflect her feelings.
When she is happy, the castle is blue; it turns red when she is scared, yellow when she is angry, and purple when she is sad.

14. Aurora was the last princess to be created before Walt Disney's death.
He passed away in 1966, 23 years before The Little Mermaid was released.

15. Boo from Monsters, Inc.'s real name?
 Mary Gibbs.

16. The character Eve from Wall-E was designed in part by the same man who designed  the iPod and iPhone.

17. Disney was sued by a hyena biologist for their portrayal of hyenas as villains in The Lion King.

18. Elsa was supposed to be the villain in Frozen.
But the producers loved "Let It Go" so much as an empowering anthem that they changed her storyline.

19. There are a total of 6,469,952 spots in 101 Dalmatians.

20. Toy Story characters, in the theme parks, used to drop to the ground when guests yelled, “Andy’s coming!”
But the practice has been discontinued for safety reasons.

21. The 14-story “Tree of Life” in the middle of Animal Kingdom is actually an old oil rig.

22. And Mickey Mouse's original name?

If you're feeling in a relationship rut, a challenge could be exactly what you and your partner need!

It's easy with every day stress and life getting in the way to let the sparkle slid away, but this 16 day challenge is designed to help restore the romantic elements of your relationship. These aren't unrealistic challenges, but rather simple and easy things to help you appreciate each other.

To make sure you don't turn into that couple who sit silently across the table during date night, take Pretty52's fun and cute 16 day challenge:

Day 1
Make a playlist of songs that remind you of each other.

Get your spotify, you-tube or apple music out, and go through all the songs that mean something to each of you.
It can be the song that was at No1 when you first got together, or one you always sing along to in the car. Make sure you have a good mix of 'happy' and 'romantic' songs, so no matter where you are, you'll be guaranteed to always think of them.

Day 2
Go through childhood photos together.

Yep, even those embarrassing ones you wish you burned!
If you're in it for the long run it's important for your partner to get to know every aspect of your life. Grab as many as you can find and explain what was happening in the photo, and who you're with.
This will allow you to get to know each other even more...and have a laugh while doing it.

Day 3
Write them a letter telling them how important they are to you.

It's important for each of you to know how much you mean to each other. It creates trust, stability and makes you feel loved!
Studies show that simple acts of kindness are shown to be the most appreciated element in a relationship.

Day 4
Give them 7 compliments throughout the day.

You know yourself that when you have a bad day, you could use a little encouragement. Think of each other as a support system and show how much you appreciate them. It could be something as simple as 'you make me laugh', but knowing someone cares is a good way to inject some spark.

Day 5
Plan a future trip together.

Breaking out of your routine and planning a trip is guaranteed to improve your connection.
Discuss with each other somewhere you've always wanted to go, and do a bit of research. Once you've booked a holiday or trip, you can start a countdown for something to look forward to with each other!

Day 6
Watch their favourite tv show or movie- without complaining!

While you might hate Game of Thrones, your partner might be completely obsessed with it. They'll appreciate it if you put the effort in to even watch one episode with them. This gives a good opportunity to cuddle up on the sofa with some of your favourite snacks too.
And who knows? You might even grow to love it!

Day 7
Put at least one date night on the calendar for this month.

Regular date nights (no matter how simple!) will defos enhance your bond and improve communication. If you both feel like you're drifting apart a little bit, clear your schedules and pencil a date in the diary.
And let's be honest, drinking exciting cocktails is always a fun night out!

Day 8
Imagine how it feels to be the other person.

Life isn't always easy, and often relationships fall apart when we don't show gratitude. Your partner could be going through a tough time, so it is good to try and put yourself in their shoes to gain a wider picture of things.
Appreciate how busy their daily life is and chances are you'll see them as a brand new, admirable person.

Day 9
Resolve to have a 'digital detox' evening together.

Don't lie, you're always on your phone, refreshing Instagram and checking your Facebook notifications. It's ok, we all do it. But we need to remember that the people in our lives are more important than the ones who we interact with over a keyboard.
Put away your phone, tablet, laptop (ok, maybe not your laptop if you're having a Netflix night...) and talk to one another. Find out how their day went or how they're feeling about their uni essay, anything will help you connect even further.

Day 10
Tell your family/friends how amazing you think your partner is.

Couples who openly show their admiration and love for their partner to other people are more likely to have long-term romance. Tell your friend how touched you were that your boyfriend ditched 'lads night' for a night in with you, tell your mum just how much he means to you.
It might be embarrassing at first, but this is the person you're spending a good chunk of your life with right now. Shout it from the rooftops!

Day 11
Cook dinner together.

While it's nice to go out for something to eat, making a meal together makes it even more romantic. Go out and buy some ingredients to make your favourite dish, or whip up something with ingredients you already have lying around.
Double the fun is in the making of food, rather than eating it.

Day 12
Try something new that neither of you have ever done before.

We're not saying you have to do everything together, but try something new with your partner. It could be something like rock climbing or trying a strange food, just make it exciting. Bonding over an activity, and experiencing 'firsts' with each other, will guarantee to bring you closer.

Day 13
Drive 30 minutes away from your home and discover a new town.

Stepping out of your comfort zone and planning a spontaneous date is important to progress in your relationship. Travel to a nearby town where no one knows you, sit in a cafe at the window and drink coffee. Sit and talk with no distractions and go a wander round cute shops. Whatever you do, forget about work and distractions and make time for just the two of you.

Day 14
Leave them a cute note somewhere for them to find.

Whether they are romantic or funny, it's clear that laughter and a sense of excitement will generate immediate happiness for your partner.
Pack one with their lunch or lead them on a treasure hunt around the house.

Day 15
Make time for breakfast in bed.

Surprises like these, or making sure you start your day with your favourite person should be a priority. Wake up a little earlier to make sure you're not rushing around for the rest of the day...or even if you are, it'll be worth it to wake up next to them with breakfast in bed!
(And who doesn't love pancakes?!)

Day 16
Take a long walk together and hold hands.

Couples who hold hands have shown to soothe each other in stressful situations.
When your 16-day challenge over, go on a walk and reflect back on what you've each learned from it. Talk about how you each feel, and whether its brought you closer together.

Chances are the only thing that was missing before was showing how much you appreciate the other person- don't forget how much you mean to each other!

Let us know how you get on with Pretty52's relationship challenge!
